Free admission! Wheelchair/stroller accessible - elevator to reach the second floor exhibits. Excellent quality material and setup. Informative and enthusiastic staff. Quiet environment - Would not recommend for small children that love to run. Will return.
Open Monday thru Saturday, 10-4, free admission!
I really enjoyed it....the kids have fun too...
Had lot of good history stuff there
This is a great little place to walk through when you are in the historic downtown Frankfort area. It's free to walk through and has a lot of local history. Perfect for kids too because it's fairly small and you can be in and out in 10 to 30 minutes if you want.
They offer various themed walking tours around the area as well for a small fee. A tour guide will walk around with a group pointing out interesting historical facts and stories. Very nice staff as well.
Outstanding! I would recommend it to all interested in the history of Frankfort and its people and, since Frankfort's the state capital, its history has implications for all in Kentucky.
