I usually go there for colognes. The cashiers have always been accommodating, polite, and professional. The store attendants.......one time I went to the sweets/cookies section and one of their employees came and stood right over my shoulder (I was kneeling down to check the stuff at the bottom shelf) within a 3 feet distance and she was there for a very long time but she finally gave up (I was trying to find something without partially hydrogenated fat and was reading the ingredients); I am mot sure what this was all about; our skin tones were almost alike and definitely didn't look like that she was going to ask me out. Anyway.......
In general I loved TJ Maxx, the reason for the review is so you are aware of their rewards credit card. Before signing up I asked if I could pay it off that day and I was told yes, this is NOT true. It is not worth ANY of the rewards, WAY too much hassle! You must pay with a routing and account number over the phone using an automated system which is terrible at voice recognition. If it re-routes you to customer service (a real person but no politeness), prepare to pay an additional $10 fee to pay through them. Also you must wait 24-48 hours before you can even pay using this horrendous system. If you signed up, good luck! They have lost my business completely because I feel like this is a way to scam people of money from interest with these "reward" cards. It is a shame because I otherwise enjoyed TJ Maxx. Excuse the tone but I know most people do not sign up for hassle, there's enough in daily life already.
Cashier was very condescending and disrespectful. It's a shame that a nice store like this can't have a nice cashier.
Just like any T J Maxx, you never know for sure what they'll have, but they normally have a good selection of clothing for all sizes, and a modest toy section. We use this as our gift shopping spot.
