I was just going to let this go, I'm obviously the only bad review on here. However, my story was a horrible experience.

The motor went out in my 12 jeep patriot. After shopping around, JD's came in as the best value. They replaced the motor and also fixed an additional issue with minimal extra cost. I recommend this shop to anyone in the area. Good people.

Jamie and crew do a great job taking care of our vehicles. Excellent customer service and reasonable prices, too.

Took my truck to him last summer with a idle problem; engine was idling low while coasting through corners. I suggested it's a hose, I've had this problem before. He insisted it was the Rack and Pinion. In 25 years of driving used cars I think I had that problem on time. He insisted; so I took a chance. Why not? He has good reviews on here. Got the truck back and the steering had 3 inches of play in it. The other problem seemed to be fixed, but now I have a whole new problem. He agreed with me that the truck was old and play in steering is expected. I let it slide that day, but it stuck in my craw. Took it back he said it's probably a bad part, but it's under warrantee, so after another three days he simply tightened the steering back up. But now it's completely out of alignment. Three days later, I had to take it to Big O for an alignment. He paid for it. I was wondering if he ever test drove my truck to notice these glaring defects he caused. The truck often smelled like smoke when I got it back. A week later, same original problem back. He said he had his wife test drive it to see if feminine arm muscles could turn it with no problems. I thought maybe I'm weaker than a female in my arm muscles: not! Any way, $600 and weeks later, the same problem persisted. I took it to Tire Discounters in Lexington. They smoke tested the engine and found the leaking vacuum hose, just like I originally said, replaced it for ten dollars, I've not had the problem since.

I wish my review was more in line with the others on here, but:

This is the place to go to have your car fixed. Great local mechanics and affordable prices. Nice people

JD Automotive is a very good place to trust with your sick car. Jamie and his senior mechanic Duddlie did a super job installing a new motor into my Dodge Durango. Their communication with me was always timely and accurate. They charged me a fair price for very good work and gave me a solid guarantee too. My vehicle is on the road again and purring like a kitten. Thanks guys!
