I had to go gluten free a few years ago and have not had my favorite dish since. I mentioned missing the Bow Tie Festival tonight, and was given multiple suggestions to be able to enjoy it again. I tried it with spinach and I am in love!!! Staff was amazing!!!

We usually go to the Frankfort location as we live in town and to me and my family - there is not much special about it. It's over priced Italian food. Tonight we decided to get a carry out order and it still proved to us that people can not do simple tasks. Me and my husband ordered Harvest Vegetable Tortellini (which came with salads) and my son ordered the Kids Panini with only cheese. We are vegetarians, that's why we ordered what we did and double checked to make sure nothing would have meat on it. My husband goes to get the food, not only was one Tortellini meal missing but my son's panini had mostly turkey on it and I heard my husband repeat our order to the person over the phone. Plus the "cream sauce" in our Tortellini was more watery than creamy. Very disappointed for the $30+ we spent on 3 ordinary italian meals when I could of ordered Papa Johns that always tastes good, they never mess up our vegetarian pizza and we would've had leftovers! I gave a 3 star ONLY because of the amount (which again wasn't what we were expecting for $30+) food that was given, they did give bread with our meal but the oil had bacon in it.. A tip to Johnny Carino's - not everyone eats animals, so I'd leave the sprinkles of bacon to someone who asks for it.

We had early dinner on Friday, November 17th at Frankfort location. Server was very pleasant. But meal took over an hour to come to our table. Manager apologized and explained shift change and someone had an emergency. He offered two desserts for our table of five. We of course did not want dessert as we had eaten so much bread waiting for meal. Manager did not offer to take anything off cost of meals or even comp our drinks. When our food arrived, it was not even hot. One entree was not even correct. Was very disappointed as we had been to the one in Lexington several times before. Never again will visit the one in Frankfort.

I gave it an ok review because it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't ever go again. Service was fine, just nothing spectacular about the food or atmosphere. My son said he would rather go to Olive Garden after giving Johny's a try. And I agree.

The food is always good when we go here. Who doesn't love the bread and olive oil? Lunch specials are pretty good as well, but nothing beats Monday nights when you can get the family portions for half the price. They easily feed 2-3 for 10-15 bucks. The kitchen is open too, I think that is a neat feature.
